We are looking for a candidate to take ownership of our shipping area/ growing team. Currently we are recruiting for just a team of 2 including this hire but we expect this team to grow moving forward and are looking for a candidate who is hard working & show initiative in their role.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods and materials, ensuring efficient operations within our logistics and supply chain processes. This position requires a strong understanding of logistics principles, excellent data analysis skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the movement of materials and products within the supply chain.
- Utilise transportation management systems to optimise delivery routes and schedules.
- Manage warehouse operations, ensuring inventory accuracy and efficient materials handling.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in logistics processes.
- Collaborate with various departments to streamline business processes related to logistics and supply chain management.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently as required for materials handling tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory levels.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of logistics principles and practices.
- Proficiency in category management and supply chain operations.
- Experience with warehouse management systems and transportation management systems.
- Excellent data analysis skills to support decision-making processes.
- Familiarity with business processes related to logistics and materials handling.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
