One Piece Cards
Why does my Once Piece card have a white mark on the back?
This is due to residual material present on the reverse of the card as a result of the manufacturer’s printing process. When the card comes into contact with a sleeve or case, a small amount of this residue may transfer onto the interior surface. This can sometimes appear as a white “condensation” mark or a fingerprint-like smudge within the case.
Please be assured that the card itself is not damaged, and there is no risk to the integrity or preservation of the card in any way.
Does it affect all One Piece cards?
We have observed that this mark is most prominent on Blue and Gold backed cards; however, we cannot exclude the possibility that it may also appear on the rear of any One Piece cards.
__Please note that any visible mark is on the inside of the case only and will not be visible on the card itself. __
Can my card be encapsulated in a penny sleeve or perfect fit sleeve?
We have tested this as a potential solution but we found that a sleeve was more likely to create the appearance of a mark as it directly contacts a larger surface area of the rear of the card. We found that the appearance of any mark was significantly minimised when encapsulating the card without a sleeve and as such this will remain our standard procedure for One Piece cards at this time.
Can I send my card back to be re-encapsulated if it has a mark on the case ?
As we do not currently have a readily available solution to eliminate this issue entirely, and we are unable to control which cards may cause the mark to appear within the case, we are not able to offer free re-encapsulation via our RMA services at this time.
Customers may, however, return their card to us through our Re-holder service if they wish but we would encourage them to note that we cannot guarantee that the mark will not reappear on another case following re-encapsulation.
