Trading Card Grading Specialist – Ace Grading
Salary: £27,500 – £29,500 per year (increases with training)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
Location: On-site
The trading card grading industry is rapidly growing, and Ace Grading is at the forefront of that evolution. We’re seeking focused, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Trading Card Grading Specialists.
In this role, you will be responsible for carefully evaluating the condition of trading cards submitted by customers. This includes assigning accurate subgrades for Corners, Edges, and Surface, while considering any flaws, wear, or damage. You’ll use tools such as microscopes and Visual Surface Comparison (VSC) machines to identify imperfections and confirm authenticity.
Once assessed, you’ll input all grading data into our internal system to generate a final grade. Maintaining objectivity, consistency, and high attention to detail is critical.
Evaluate trading cards across three key grading areas: Corners, Edges, and Surface
Identify any flaws, imperfections, or signs of wear using grading tools (microscopes, VSC)
Authenticate and verify card legitimacy where required
Enter grading data into the internal system with accuracy and consistency
Work to daily productivity targets while maintaining grading integrity
Operate in a focused, quiet environment
Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
Excellent attention to detail and precision
Ability to work in a quiet, focused environment
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks requiring consistent accuracy
Strong time management and data entry skills
Passion for trading cards, collectibles, or precision-focused work
GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Full training provided – no prior grading experience necessary
